About Anthony

Anthony has sold over $100,000,000 of residential real estate over the last six years. Before joining Sotheby's International Realty in June 2010, Anthony was a top producing agent at The Grubb Company, and is consistently ranked as one of the top producing agents in the East Bay. Anthony’s success is attributed to his passion for selling the various neighborhoods in Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley and not just the beauty of the house. Finding the right neighborhood for you is a top priority as Anthony understands the importance of neighbors, dining, shopping, commute times and proximity to the many good things offered in the East Bay. Anthony is a twenty year resident of Crocker Highlands and recently remodeled his circa 1929 Spanish Mediterranean home built by noted San Francisco architect, W.W. Dixon. His home is now completely restored to its original 1929 design and wonderfully updated to reflect the style of a California Mediterranean.

Prior to selling real estate, Anthony was a vice president of sales for two internet start-up companies that were acquired by publicly traded companies. During this tenure, Anthony traveled over one million miles over a twelve year period. Like most road warriors in northern California, Anthony found it hard to believe that he spent so much time away from home and life in the beautiful Oakland hills. Searching for a career whereby he never had to travel on an airplane or commute long distances to work, Anthony carefully planned to start his career in real estate. Real estate was not entirely new to Anthony as he sold real estate in Houston, TX during the early 1980’s while attending graduate school.

To Anthony success also means giving back to the communities he serves and that means supporting the Oakland public schools in his neighborhood of Crocker Highlands and also to the neighboring Piedmont Schools. Anthony underwrites the Crocker Highlands fourth graders trip to the Gold Country each Fall as well as supporting the annual Spring auction, the walk-a-thon and the Crocker Highlands Home & Garden Tour. All proceeds support the school. In addition, Anthony supports the Piedmont Schools in various fundraisers for the elementary schools and the senior prom. Anthony feels that education and the local schools are the cornerstones for all of the communities in Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley. Giving back to the communities he serves is paramount to Anthony’s business and success.

Continued success is a top priority for Anthony and coaching with a national real estate coach is an integral part of his growth and planning for the future. Every Monday morning Anthony coaches with nationally acclaimed real estate coach, Tom Ferry along with fourteen other top agents in the United States.

Working with other top agents in the country enhances my abilities to manage my growth and it is helpful in bringing new ideas and solutions to the table. Coaching prepares me to manage my growth through planning and execution. Being held accountable with my one on one coaching also makes me stay on target for achieving my quarterly and annual goals.”

Anthony is brilliantly supported by a team of professionals at Sotheby’s including his longtime personal assistant, Katie Murray. In order to provide better service to his sellers and visiting buyers at his Sunday Open Houses, Anthony added a new member to his team. Nicole Tamayo, a licensed real estate agent joined Anthony in December 2009 to do just that. She is highly visible at Sunday Opens and available to meet new clients and introduce them to the wonderful way of life in Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley.
