About Anthony

I have sold over $75,000,000 of residential real estate over the last
five years. I am not only a top producing agent at The Grubb Company,
but I am consistently ranked as one of the top producing agents in the
East Bay. My success is attributed to my passion for selling the
various neighborhoods in Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley and not just
the beauty of the house. Finding the right neighborhood for you is a
top priority as I understand the importance of neighbors, dining,
shopping, commute times and proximity to the many good things offered
in the East Bay. I am a twenty year resident of Crocker Highlands and
recently remodeled my circa 1929 Spanish Mediterranean home built by
noted San Francisco architect, W.W. Dixon.
Prior to selling real
estate, I was a vice president of sales for two internet start-up
companies that were acquired by publicly traded companies. During this
tenure, I traveled over one million miles over a twelve year period.
Like most road warriors in northern California, I found it hard to
believe that I spent so much time away from home and life in the
beautiful Oakland hills. Searching for a career whereby I never had to
travel on an airplane or commute long distances to work, I carefully
planned to start my career in real estate. Real estate was not entirely
new to me as he sold real estate in Houston, TX during the early 1980?s
while attending graduate school.
To me, success also means
giving back to the community from where my money comes from and that
means supporting the Oakland public schools in my neighborhood and also
to the Piedmont Schools. I underwrite the Crocker Highlands fourth
graders trip to the Gold Country each Fall as well as supporting the
annual Spring auction, the walk-a-thon and the Crocker Highlands Home
& Garden Tour with all proceeds supporting the school. In addition
I support the Piedmont Schools in various fundraisers for the
elementary schools and the senior prom. I feel that education and the
local schools are the cornerstones for all of the communities in
Oakland, Piedmont and Berkeley. Giving back to the communities I serves
is paramount to my business and success.
Continued success is a top priority for me and coaching with a national
real estate coach is an integral part of my growth and planning for the
future. Every Monday morning I coach with nationally acclaimed real
estate coach Tom Ferry along with fourteen other top agents in the
United States.
?Working with other top agents in the country
enhances my abilities to manage my growth and it is helpful in bringing
new ideas and solutions to the table. Coaching prepares me to manage my
growth through planning and execution. Being held accountable with my
one on one coaching also makes me stay on target for achieving my
quarterly and annual goals.?I am brilliantly supported by a
team of professionals at The Grubb Company including my longtime
personal assistant, Katie Murray. In order to provide better service to
my sellers and new buyers at my Sunday Open Houses, I have hired a
buyer?s agent to my team. Nicole Tamayo joined me in December 2009 and
will be highly visible at Sunday Opens and available to meet new
clients and introduce them to the wonderful way of life in Oakland,
Piedmont and Berkeley.
Feel free to call me directly for all
of your real estate needs. I will be happy to give sellers a private
consultation on the value of your home. For buyers, my team is
available to show you property in a very timely manner.
